MINING SUNDOWNER
CHANGE OF VENUE

The venue for our Mining Sundowner, held on the last Thursday of every month, has been moved to The Glassblower, near Piccadilly Circus.

As one of the technical divisions of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, the Mining Technology Division exists to support mining and related industries world wide by providing a focus for the exchange of knowledge on all aspects of mining technology. Many will be aware of the South Crofty Tin Mine, its recent history and unfortunate closure in 1998, bringing to an end several thousand years of tin mining in Cornwall.

However, a group of enthusiastic mining professionals are now trying to revive tin mining at the site of the South Crofty Mine - see www.southcrofty.co.uk for details.
